Can you believe these pictures??






We just ran across these and wanted to share them with you. That little boy up there is Kenny about 38 years ago during his first initial hospital stay. A record breaking 14 months! The other cutie is his late brother Kevin. He passed away about 21 years ago. These two rugrats became quite famous in thier day. Can we all praise God for the advancements in technology today!!!???

So, the update:

Our appointment at USC yesterday was long and a bit difficult. When Kenny began his breathing tests he was noticeably decreased in his ability. It was very dissapointing to him, regardless of whether or not this sort of result pushes him up on the UNOS list. It's only been 3 months since he did these tests last. That spells out a fairly rapid deterioration.
BUT!! WE KNOW GOD IS BIGGER THAN THAT, DON'T WE NOW!!

His Doctor also got fairly severe with him regarding keeping himself active in some way. It's hard to wrap your mind around the need to excercise and stay strong when your physical body is actually weakening. Nonetheless, that is what he must do. You can keep him in your prayers as we wait to see if he qualifies for pulmonary rehab. This will be an intensive effort to re-condition Kenny's body so he can more easily recover after surgery. It will be 3x a week for 4 hours a day. That's more action than Kenny has seen in a year or more!! Even if the rehab doesn't work out, we have to help Kenny to excercise and strengthen his body and put on weight. Your prayers in this regard are highly coveted.
